Belle Musique Lesson Policies
Students and parents will be asked to sign the agreement prior to the beginning of lessons. Policies will be reviewed and the signature sheet will be posted in the studio.
All
policies will be upheld starting September 1st, 2014. These are put in
place to ensure a safe, effective learning environment for all students
and to coincide with Studio 270's standards.
1. Materials: Students should come prepared to ALL lessons and rehearsals. If you are unsure as to what should be brought to each meeting please contact Georgia.
2. Behavior: Students will be polite and respectful during lessons and rehearsals. No exceptions. Students should wait quietly in the hall before and after their lessons and move efficiently in and out of their lesson.
3. Practicing: Students should practice according to their Suzuki Level. Lessons will only go so far and to see real improvement practice should be done at home. Below is a recommendation of practice time. These are minimums and should be used as a guide. Students may practice more during the week. Students should be practicing on average between four and five days a week to ensure that the material is being worked on and retained.
Suzuki One: 10 Minutes
Suzuki Two: 20 Minutes
Suzuki Three: 30 Minutes
Suzuki Four: 40 Minutes
Suzuki Five+: 60 Minutes
4. Parent Involvement: Sitting in on lessons is extremely helpful for the parent to see what the child is learning so that they can enforce the topics at home. Parent - Teacher communication and feedback works wonders! I would like to see each parent at least once a week for students 12 and under and at least once a month for students 13 and older.
5. Cancellations and Make - Up Lessons: There are NO refunds given for missed lessons. A makeup lesson will be offered for the reasons listed below (Notice times)
Teacher Cancellation
Illness: 2 Hour Minimum
Family Emergency: As much as possible
Inclement Weather
Planned Events (School related, Vacations etc): 1 Week Notice.
Last minute cancellations for these events will not be given a make - up.
Make - up lessons should be made up within the month. Make - up lessons not made up within the month will be forfeited.
Students who cancel their scheduled make up lessons will not be offered another make up. Inclement weather cancellation made by Georgia does not count as canceling a make up.
6. Payments and Late Fees: Payments are due the last week of the month for the following month. Payments can be made by cash or check. If you need payment arrangements please speak with Georgia.
Late Fees
